This cake is DELICIOUS!!!! It's moist, sweet, and super lemony fresh! Everyone I have served it to loves it! Definitely be making this one again--soon!

Did you even read this recipe? It absolutely says to temper the egg. If you don't know what that means, or how to do it, you should watch any of the 3 videos Alton has on this recipe!! Don't just wing it, then give the recipe a bad review. That's wrong. The recipe wasn't the problem here, you were.

I did a 26 lb turkey a couple of years ago, and just added more water to make sure the turkey was completely covered. But then AB recommended using two smaller turkeys (12-14 lbs each) if you need that much meat, as a larger bird can be tougher, etc. I tried that last year, with two 14-lb turkeys. You get the turkey drippings from the bottom of the pan you roast the turkey in!! Gravy is one of those things that should be made at the last minute anyway. Roast your turkey, then when it comes out of the oven and is resting, use the drippings to make your gravy. Alton's recipe for gravy is AMAZING!!!
