"Mine are in the oven cooking right now so I do not know if they came out perfectly. I did not put any granulated sugar in, but when I saw the post about missing sugar, looked up a couple of other recipes for French macaroons. Some have a couple of tablespoons of sugar just for whipping with the egg whites. If it was not on the episode and not in the recipe, it is inconsequential -- particularly with 2-1/2 cups of powdered sugar! My opinion only -- I have 10 minutes to go until mine are finished cooking.
