She also added salt at some point, but I've forgotten now. Either after the first 1.5 hours or at the end. Just don't add it at the beginning, for sure. I'll probably add it at the very end.

I couldn't find it either, so I watched the episode again. The only thing missing was an explicit amt of dry beans to use. She ends up needing 6c of black beans in the episode - to get 6c you need 1lb dry beans. Here's the recipe:

This wasn't bad. Instead of using bagged frozen potatoes, I used 4 large Russet potatoes, sliced on my mandoline. And I used a VERY large onion, roughly chopped (we LOVE onion).

We thought it was a little bland. Also could use more cheese in the middle. Next time will increase cheese to 2 full cups, with about 1.5 cups in the middle.
