My Activity

Reviewed Slow-Cooker Texas Chili

"My college son found this recipe and like others, we were skeptical about the amount of chili powder. We went ahead and made it full strength with the chili powder and it was delicious. Served it over mexican rice and we all raved. Thought we would miss the beans, but that was not the case. Sending my son back to school with a slow cooker and this recipe!

Reviewed Brined, Herb Roasted Turkey

"This is a terrific recipe. I have found that brining is the way to go and love how moist the meat is with this technique. But, as good as the turkey was, the gravy was to die for!. My husband and sons kept circling the pan on the oven, dipping a piece of bread in "just to taste." I was afraid that we would not get to the table before they had sampled the entire batch. I highly recommend this entire recipe. Will be doing it again for Christmas.
