"Excellent sauce! I made exactly as recipe stated, I used San Marzano tomatoes b/c they are my personal favorite and added red pepper flakes. It is very tasty and a perfect basic sauce that you can easily add to (like a cup of chopped fresh basil at the end to make a tomato basil sauce). I chopped all of the veggies very small. It's easy and tastes"

"made this for a potluck, 3 people called me the next day and asked for the recipe. It is excellent, sweet at first with a hint of heat at the end. I made it exactly as the recipe states, I did use frozen mango halves from Trader Joe's, just thawed them and threw in food processor. I also used it on boneless chicken breasts. Definitely try this one!"

"LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe! It is my go to recipe for fajitas, chicken or steak. It's easy to make, and gives the meat a zesty flavor. I have made this many times, I always follow the recipe, but I have used orange juice instead of fresh squeezed a few times, and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. This is great for summer parties, so easy to make and serve to larger groups, and everyone always loves it. I like the extra limey gauc, but it is different than traditional and may not suit everyones tastes."

"YUM! These were so good. I took the advice of others and cooked the chicken & the enchilada sauce the day before. The sauce was so good! I used 2 cans of fire roasted tomatoes and 2 Serrano chilies, I thought it was the perfect amount of spice. I had no problem with the sauce thickening, but I did let it simmer for a long time, since I had made it the day before. Also, if your tortillas were soggy - you may want to make sure you have the oil really hot before you dip them in it. you want to actually fry them. I found the queso fresca and the Mexican crema at our local grocery store. Served with the creamy black bean recipe from this site. Definitely a keeper, I will make again.
Reviewed Sausage Chili
"I made this for a party and everyone LOVED IT!!! Two men even came up to me and said "please show my wife how to make this" I followed the recipe pretty closely, I used spicy chicken sausage from the butcher at whole foods, and chicken thighs. I also used black beans instead of kidney beans, added a red & green pepper, and Guiness for the beer. I only wish I had doubled the recipe, b/c there was nothing left at the end of the night.
