Reviewed Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Jan 21, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

YUM! Very very good! Was never a big scalloped potato fan-I am now! Used bacon, sharp cheddar cheese and based on other reviews-only 1 1/2 cups of 1/2 and 1/2. Did not use the swiss chard-the best part was all of the crispy crunchy stuff on top. "

Reviewed Ricotta, Spinach, and Ham Stuffed Chicken Breast Marsala with Pine Nut Pilaf

Jan 17, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Hmmmm....not one of my favorites....first of all if you don't have chicken cutlets-they are very difficult to roll. Cutlets are a must. Overall was ok-but very salty. Too much sprinkling of salt before they are rolled, after they are rolled, the marsala and the proscuitto-to much-other than that-were good. Used fresh spinach. Took alot longer t"

Wow-never made anything like this before-sauteed the chicken mixture the day before. Did not add the chipolte's-added black beans instead. Had trouble with softening the corn taco's-they did not soften at all-so just put the sauce down in the pan-stuffed them and put them sideways with sauce and cheese over them and baked. Came out absolutely d"

Excellant!! Soaked the chicken in buttermilk and hot sauce for 24 hours-added cayenne to the flour mix-fried it up-was so juicy, crunchy and delicious! The hot sauce does tend to get lost-even though using it twice-but still tasted great!"

Very hearty! First fried up 2 lbs of bulk Italian sausage-took out with a slotted spoon and then fried the potatoes, onions and garlic in the sausage oil. Then added everything to a big pot- also added in some white Navy beans. Love the sausage flavor-added Pecorino Romano cheese, toasted up some Rosemary bread-great dinner for a cold Winter da"

Reviewed Turkey and Artichoke Stuffed Shells with Arrabbiata Sauce

Dec 28, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Very good! Made these for Christmas-used hot turkey sausage instead of ground. Doubled everything-made the ricotta mixture and my sauce the day before. Then Christmas morning -stuffed them, fried the pancetta up-let that sit in the sauce awhile. Baked them 1 hour before serving-everyone loved them! Have not yet made a recipe of Giada's that w"

Reviewed Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Dec 27, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Very tasty! Used boneless skinless chicken breasts instead of thighs-marinated them overnight with the dry ingredients. Fried them up the next day-kept them whole and did not put in the oven. Served them on a long sandwich roll with the lettuce, tomato and ranch bleu cheese dressing-delicious! The kids loved them!"

Reviewed Crostini with Sun-Dried Tomato Jam

Dec 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Delicious! Took alot longer than the recipe indicated to reduce down-more like 2 hours. Not sure why it took so long-but was patient and it came out great! Also took another reviewers advice and brushed the baguette slices with the olive oil from the sun dried tomatoes...perfection! "

Reviewed Chocolate Tiramisu

Dec 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

OMG! Delicious!! The recipe looked a little hard at first-read it through a few times-read everyone's reviews. Definitely use the Savoiardi lady fingers-dip them quick. Used Amaretto instead of marsala-it was so good-I was asked to make this for a wedding!!!!!"

Reviewed Buffalo Chicken Cheese Balls

Dec 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

These were absolutely delicious! Made them for Christmas day appetizers-these were devoured within a 1/2 hour! Made the mixture the day before-then rolled and fried them Christmas day. Probably would cut the dip ingredients in 1/2-made alot. Was afraid they would not hold together-added just a little bit more hot sauce-perfect! Already asked "

Reviewed Pancetta-Wrapped Pork Roast

Nov 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This was absolutely delicious!! Used bacon instead of pancetta. Put it together the day before-let it marinate for over 24 hours-be sure to rub in the garlic mixture inbetween the 2 loins. The only problem was it took much more than 1 hour to cook-more like over 2 hours-but it was worth the wait! Baked potato, broccoli rabe-great dinner!"
