This was a huge hit at my mardi gras party. It was a risk since I had never made it before and literally made it two hours before my party. The only mistake I made was not making enough! Everyone Loved it! The fresh tomatoes and garlic I believe made a huge difference in flavor as well. ""

I just made these for a mardi gras party last night. We didn't have light rum so I substituted Captain Morgan Spiced Rum. It was great!!! A huge hit at the party.mi had to multiply the recipe to make a pitcher and instead of oranges for glass garnish...I put the sliced oranges in to look pretty as well as add flavor. These were absolutely delish! I found the recipe as a nice treat for our Mardi Gras party. I ended up making them for breakfast. I was really hoping the $25 I spent on a tiny bottle of Grand Marnier that the sauce called for was not going to be a wasted $25. It definitely wasn't. The filling was light and fluffy.
