Finally a biscuit that turns our perfect. Made these for the first time and my husband who is not a real biscuit lover ate 2 with sausage gravy. The clincher was heating the cast iron skillet in the oven first. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Jeff thank your mother in law for sharing. Delicious and easy.

Very easy, very quick. I wondered how I would like the cinnamon in here and it truly enhanced the flavors of everything else. I did use a quart of home canned stewed tomatoes and this step needed to be cooked a bit longer to thicken it up but it worked very well. I will share this recipe at work and I will make this again."

This was a very good recipe. Very easy to make. When I added the cream and butter the sugar mixture firmed up and stuck to my whisk, I simply continued to stir until it softened up and melted back down.
