"I used two 8-inch cake pans to make a birthday cake. I baked for 30 minutes and it was too dry. I think the flavor was fine, I should have pulled the cakes out sooner. My hubby really liked the frosting (I personally thought there was a tad too much butter in frosting. I am sure my hubby will request it again though."

"I also cut the salt by using low-sodium soy sauce and chicken broth, not salting the meat and cutting the oyster sauce in half. My husband really liked this dish. I could not find star anise so I subbed Chinese five spices (1/2 tsp It took over an hour to thicken sauce. We will make again."
Reviewed Apple and Pear Crisp
"I will likely make this again, however, I will use less (maybe omit) some of the lemon and orange zest and juice. The fruit was still crunchy after 50 minutes of baking. It smelled wonderful and was easy. The peeling and chopping took a little bit of time."
Reviewed Orchard Salad
"This was just ok. The dressing didn't have a ton of flavor. I used less olive oil than the recipe calls for and I thought it was still too much. I may try adding more sugar or apple cider to increase flavor."
Reviewed Lemon Fusilli with Arugula
"So yummy! I have made this several times and would make this more often if it were lower in fat. I usually leave out the third lemon, there is plenty of great lemon flavor already."
