Reviewed four-cheese scalloped potatoes

First time I made scalloped potatoes. These are easy to make and the cooking times were right on. [make sure you slice those potatoes thin, I used a mandolin]. The only thing I would do different next time is maybe add some sauteed onions or ham or both. These were delicious, just very one note flavored.

These were okay. I found them to be too wet - too much tomatoe - they dulled down the bacon and onion. I think I will try Ree's other green bean recipe next time. This just didn't do it for my family.

Although I enjoyed this recipe, my family did not. They found it too spicy. I also used the idea to put the uncooked rice in 30 minutes before finished. Great idea! I used too much rice though. If you do this, put in 1 cup of uncooked rice. I would suggest more chicken and less shrimp. Considering I liked it, I will continue to play with it until...

Great cake! Frosting is delicious when first made. Does not taste as good after being refrigerated. A few seconds in the microwave fixes that. Kids do not love the coffee taste, but good for me."
