The taste was very good, but I think the texture of the cake did not turn out right and I believe that caused a lot of the liquid to not get soaked up. The cake did not rise much, and was not very tender (maybe either over mixing or it could have been that the baking powder was fairly old). Even with those problems it was still VERY tasty and no"

I'm sorry some of you have had so much trouble with the batter! I have made this a number of times and it always turns out great! I omit the jalapeno and onion (unfortunately my husband forbids them), but they still have GREAT flavor and texture for the final product. Ours do not come out greasy, but we're careful to not put too many dogs in th"

We love this recipe! We sometimes add a bit of velveeta, because it seems to make it a bit creamier. Sometimes we'll add chopped bacon to the sauce before tossing with the elbows. Delicious!

This is the best french toast! We've made it with Texas Toast (very thickly sliced bread). We also add cinnamon to the batter. It doesn't mix well into the batter, but we just sprinkle it on top between each slice. We also add vanilla sometimes. "

Great recipe, and very easy. The glaze/crust is great, and I don't even like mustard. The crust is best the first day (after that it gets soggy, so eat all the outside first : The leftover ham is still good, just not the crust so much. I love the idea of using apple juice and rum extract, I'll have to try that next time. We just bought the ti"

The flavor of of this seasoning is absolutely amazing! I will say that the first time I used it with 1 lb of ground beef I assumed you would use the whole batch and added about 2/3 of it to the meat before tasting it, and it was too spicy and strong for my husband. The next time I used it, I just added it to taste and it turned out perfect! "

We enjoyed homemade pot pie, but I would definitely change up the flavor profile as I discovered that I am not a big fan of taragon (just personal preference). I cheated and bought puff pastry instead of making it myself. Also I never add the full amount of salt immediately, but just salt to taste since Alton sometimes likes things saltier than "

Very tasty, great flavor for the gravy! I couldn't find chicken sausage, so I substituted turkey breakfast sausage and it came out good, although I still want to try it with chicken sausage. I did at an extra tbsp of butter because it did seem very dry after adding the flour. It was VERY difficult to stir in a 10 inch skillet, so I pulled out a...

This turns out great, and the vanilla aroma is amazing! I had Alton's vanilla sugar, but wound up only having a scraped vanilla bean, so I put that in the cream like the recipe says but also used vanilla bean paste - a great sub for fresh vanilla beans, and easy to keep around!

These are very good, and come out with a great texture. We use italian instead of plain bread crumbs, and cubed mozzarella instead of shredded. The mozzarella just seems to disappear when you use shredded, and you get wonderful cheesy bites with the cubes.

These turned out great! I know some of the reviews talked about it being really messy, but I didn't have any trouble.
