Reviewed Chicken Stew
"Wow, this stew hit the spot! It's hearty with robust flavors. Perfect on a cold night with warm biscuits and Giada's Herbed Salad (the one with fresh basil, parsley, romaine, and lemon vinaigrette). I can't wait to make it again for friends! I used fresh basil and Pacific brand organic chicken stock, and good quality tomato paste and olive oil. I made the recipe as written, except used boneless chicken breasts (about 1 pound). Yum!
Reviewed Chocolate Hazelnut Biscotti
"I was excited to make these cookies because I am a big fan of Giada but these cookies didn't turn out so well. They were too sweet and bland, with the sugar overpowering the chocolate and hazelnut. Also, the cookies came out really flat, not at all like in the photo in Giada's cookbook. I live at a high altitude and tried adding more flour to the second batch, and that helped a little, so if you live at a high altitude, you might try adding about 1/2 cup of flour to the recipe.
Reviewed Caraway and Parmesan Grissini
"Wow! These are heavenly, especially when they first come out of the oven! They do make the whole kitchen smell great. I used an 11-ounce package of Pillsbury breadstick dough, with great results. It was easy to stretch out each breadstick by pulling on the ends, and then I twirled the dough in opposite directions at each end to make 14-inch twisted straws. Very elegant. Can't wait to make them for friends!

Reviewed Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts
"Delicious! I reduced the butter to one tablespoon and used about 25% more lemon juice and Parmesan. This would make a tasty vegetarian main dish, maybe with brown rice and sweet potatoes. It tasted great with cornbread! I will make this again and again.
