My Activity

Reviewed Fruitcake Cookies

"I made these for a cookie exchange and people are asking for the recipe. I used dried cherries in place of marachino and I also used Grand Marnier instead of Sherry and... I did not let it sit as long as suggested and they still turned out great. "

Reviewed Corn Salad

"I have made this without the sourcream and red onion and it is still WONDERFUL. I took it to a party on our sailboat and wanted something without mayo or milk products. It is better the next day. Great salad for this time of year with the tomatoes, cucumbers and corn fresh from our farmers markets.""

Reviewed Dried Cherry and Almond Cookies with Vanilla Icing

"I do not know what I did wrong, I followed the recipe, and they did not rise up, the bottoms burned they were hard. Are they supposed to be kind of dense and hard? I put them in a plastic bag, and the next day they had actually softened up a little and were a little better. I made a double batch for a cookie exchange. Other reviews said they were wonderful. I baked at 350, on my baking stone for 15 min. Even left one batch in for 20 just to see if they would puff up as other stated. They taste good.

"I do not know what I did wrong, I followed the recipe, and they did not rise up, the bottoms burned they were hard and I actually threw them out. Very disappointed as I made a double batch for a cookie exchange. Other reviews said they were wonderful. I baked at 350, on my baking stone for 15 min. Even left one batch in for 20 just to see if they would puff up as other stated. Every cookie was rock hard.

Reviewed Brined Herb-Crusted Turkey with Apple Cider Gravy

"Fantastic, the best turkey I have ever made. I followed the recipe and my 13 pound turkey was done an hour ahead of what recipe said. It still was moist and delicious.
