My Activity

Reviewed Tuna Salad

"This recipe was so easy to make. Beautiful presentation and tasted great. I didn't have quite enough lime juice, so used orange juice to make up the difference. Served it atop arugula and Boston bibb lettuce. I'll use a little less salt next time. Loved it!""

Reviewed Fresh Mushroom and Parsley Salad

"This was a delicious and simple salad to prepare. My family enjoyed it very much. It was fresh and tasty. I used good quality olive oil and a nice piece of cheese. If you don't like fresh (raw mushrooms, it's probably not the salad for you. We loved it and have made it several times."

Reviewed Margarita Chicken Skewers

"I tried these for an appetizer party and made chicken "bites". I cut the strips in half and also used frozen limeade since I couldn't find frozen margarita mix at my store; it was delicious. I poked the chicken with a fork a few times before cutting the strips to allow the marinade to be quickly absorbed into the chicken, and let them marinate for several hours. I grilled these without the skewers, then pushed some shorter, cute knotted bamboo skewers into the little "bites" after they were cooked. I placed them on the platter--not only did they look great, but tasted great too,I may add a little honey to the marinade next time to sweeten them and allow them to carmelize even more! I used a small container of Tones chicken seasoning found in the spice aisle. Thanks, Sandra!

Reviewed Meemaw's Kitchen Sink Christmas Cookies

"I have never been much of a cookie baker, however, these cookies turned out fantastic. They were a nice, light, crispy cookie full of texture. I really loved the addition of the puffed rice cereal--I must saw I was skeptical at first, but they made the cookie really nice to bite into. My family can't quit eating them! I dipped a few in the white chocolate and peppermint per the recipe, but left the rest undecorated as that is how my family wanted them. Great with coffee or hot chocolate. I think they would taste great with the addition of a little orange zest in the batter; and when done, dipped in white chocolate and crushed hard orange candy instead of peppermint.
