Reviewed Mac and Cheese

"This is my favorite go-to mac and cheese recipe ever!! I've never made it with Gruyere, never been inclined towards buying expensive cheese for low-key weeknight dinner but I am hoping to try it some day. I use a combination of sharp cheddar and Parmesan/mozzarella and it ALWAYS works.
I generally don't like nutmeg but love the flavor it gives th"

Reviewed Garlic Oil Sauteed Pasta with Broccoli

"I love this dish. It is one of my go-to recipes for lunch when I am in no mood to cook. People who said it needs more broccoli are right. An extra pod of garlic doesn't hurt either."

Reviewed Sloppy Veg-Head Joe

"Oh my gosh! These are the yummiest veggie Sloppy Joes I've ever tasted. I agree that it reminds me a little of chili but the brown sugar and a splash of ketchup (my additio)n really really takes it to another level. Made it for dinner and my bread is baking in the oven but the gravy is already half over because my husband and I have been in and ou"

Reviewed Almost-Famous Soft Pretzels

"OMG! Believe me when I say this is the best pretzels I've ever made because I've tried a zillion others before I stumbled upon this on this morning. It is soft, super-yummy and goes wonderfully with the sweet mustard dip.
One thing though. The amount of butter seemed way OT to me so used 3 Tbsps. Two while making the dough and melted the other and""

Reviewed Red Velvet Cake

"I don't know why some people gave this cake less than three stars. I followed this recipe (with a few modifications, of course. I added 1 1/4 cup oil and 1/4 cup butter, 1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa and 1 tsp coffee granules. The cream cheese frosting came out so fluffy. One thing though. I did not add the complete quantity of sugar specified for the frosting.""

About Me

I am a stay at home wife who loves to cook. I love my wine, lot of spice and a good good book. My passion, as the cliche goes, lies in the kitchen. I rock my Indian food but have been experimenting with various cuisines for sometime. Baking seems to be where my heart lies lately.

My husband is my biggest inspiration. I love cooking for him. The delight on his face when he tastes something delicious I whipped up is always a homerun. My second inspiration is Ina Garten. She makes the most delicious food and the woman is always right!

Favorite Foods

My favourite food... this is a long list. I love biriyani, anything made with eggplant, spicy buffalo wings, baba ganoush, panini with cramalized onion. My most favorite spices are garam masala, chipotle chilli and freshly-ground pepper.

Two spices I cannot do without are thyme and rosmery. I love the strong fresh smell.

No one can make Paneer Tikka like I do and I love Peri Peri's chocolate spoon cake and Cava's mezze spread.
