Reviewed Pork Roast - Old Fashion Way (Use Cast Iron Dutch Oven)
"Excellent pork roast recipe. I used a 5 pound boneless pork loin roast and made a few minor changes. I used a spice rub of 1 teaspoon each dried rosemary, dried thyme and dried basil with some salt and black pepper. I rubbed this all over the roast prior to browning. I didn't have Kitchen Bouquet but did have Gravy Master, so I used that instead. ..."
Reviewed Slow-Cooker Ropa Vieja
"I made this recipe almost exactly as written with just a couple of small changes. I doubled the recipe and added about a tablespoon of dried oregano. As it cooked, I tasted a couple of times to adjust seasoning a bit-added some extra cumin. Because they are less expensive, I used 3 pounds of boneless sirloin tips. Served it over toasted cumin "

Reviewed Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
"Have made these once and will be making them again very soon-they are the perfect Valentine's Day treat! However, here in New England, home of the whoopie pie, I made the more traditional filling , which includes marshmallow fluff, instead of the cream cheese filling. They came out perfectly!
Reviewed Creme Brulee
"This is the best creme brulee recipe EVER! The only modifications I made were to be sure to scrape the seeds out of the vanilla bean after it is steeped in the cream. I also added about 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to bump up the vanilla flavor. I've prepared this for many people over many occasions and have been told by these people that they can no longer eat creme brulee in a restaurant because it just doesn't compare to this recipe.
Reviewed Lemon Bars
"Made these yesterday for a lunch with friends today. The shortbread crust was perfect, even after a night in the refrigerator-nice and crisp and didn't get soggy at all! I made the recipe exactly as it was written and it came out perfectly. Everyone thought these were the best lemon bars they'd ever had. Definitely a keeper!
Reviewed Chocolate Malt Sandwiches
"I made these cookies exactly as directed and they came out beautifully and delicious. However, I would like a little more malt flavor, so I will probably increase the malted milk powder a bit the next time I make them. I did beat the filling longer than one minute and I think I will also try another reviewers idea of rolling the dough into a log and making these as slice and bake cookies. That idea would definitely cut out some prep time!
