My Activity

Reviewed Pumpkin and Black Bean Soup

"I really like this soup. Right up there with the Carrot Soup recipe. More importantly, my wife loved this soup, And so easy to make. You might want to cut back on Curry powder if you don't like that, as the one teaspoon does seem to draw the flavor to that taste. And I used white pepper instead of the cayenne.
This recipe will be one I pull "

Reviewed Roasted Potatoes, Carrots, Parsnips and Brussels Sprouts

"I added in bacon, onions and garlic. Made a double batch for Easter lunch. It was all gone when the dinner was done. Had to cook for 1:30 to get everything baked well. Did the garlic and onion with bacon and then poured over before I added spices.

Very tasty and pretty simple to make. would add more Brussels sprouts next time."

Reviewed Grilled Chicken Thighs Cacciatore with Super Smashed Garlic Potatoes

"I have to admit that it was a bit more work than the time allotted. however, if you read the recipe you gotta realize that this recipe is going to take some coordination.

I used only one pepper, grilled the chicken, and with all the oil, it was hard to keep the flames down. Potatoes were great and the meal overall was very good, just a bit more"

Reviewed Roasted Tomato Caprese Salad

"I really like this recipe. I did a double batch on my first time and prepared too much liquid. But the kids and the wife really enjoyed it. I put the cheese on and then put it back in oven for 5 minutes to let the cheese melt.

And be generous with the garlic!!"

Reviewed Teriyaki Chicken Wings With Sesame And Cilantro

"I enjoyed this recipe. The ginger could be better used instead of following the directions, and I used corn starch to thicken the sauce. Very tasty and watched the Jayhawks beat Purdue at the buzzer. That was dessert.""

Reviewed Shepherds Pie

"Quick and easy, I didn't have the gravy, and it came out good. May add more potatoes to the recipe next time.""

Reviewed Pan Roasted Venison with Spicy Cranberry Mexican Cinnamon Sauce with Whipped Sweet Potatoes

"I wasn't too impressed with this recipe. And for the most part it was that I am not a wild game meat eater. The sauce was too watery so I added corn starch to thicken and that helped. My wife enjoyed it, but just not a hit at our home.""

Reviewed Basil Chicken

"I also agree to the bland taste. I was so excited when I started because a friend dropped off a load of basil on my kitchen counter top and the smell drove me crazy.

Maybe some dark meat instead of the breast. And the sauce needs to be thicker. Will give it one more try with double the basil and perhaps a peanut based thicker sauce. I used ""
