Reviewed 1770 House Meatloaf

Jun 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is great and so is the sauce. I didn't have the roasted garlic so I sautee'd some shallots in butter first and deglazed with the broth and it was perfect (for the sauce. I only have one complaint and that is that my meatloaf was not completely cooked. I have to admit I was skeptical about baking it at 350 for 40-50min which seemed way "

Reviewed Johnny Garlic's Cedar Plank Salmon

Apr 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We splurged on the salmon fillets and the cedar planks but it was well worth it! Great recipe! I went a little easy on the jalapeno only b/c of the kids...and they loved it as well. Thanks Guy!"

Reviewed Chicken with Goat Cheese and Sun Dried Tomato

Jan 3, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This came out great. My husband doesn't like goat cheese so I used Boursin on his chicken. I had 2 slightly large single breasts with bone-in and I just roasted them a little longer. 45min on 375F until the thermometer was 150F internal temp of chicken, then I took them out and let them rest tented for 10min. Was excellent. I could have sworn in the...

Reviewed Tagliarelle with Truffle Butter

Jan 3, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I thought this tasted very nice. I made it together with the chicken stuffed with sundried tomatoes and goat cheese and a side of broccoli. I added 1 cup of cream to about 12oz of pasta and no pasta water and it was very creamy and it stayed creamy. The chives and shaved Parmesan on top are a must.

Reviewed Gingerbread with Spiced Creme Anglaise

Dec 12, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a wonderful gingerbread cake. I did not make the Creme Anglaise but I'm sure that would be divine too! I love this cake just with plain whipped cream. I have to admit the beer sounded strange to me and the smell of the molasses 'grossed' me out a bit...but this cake is really wonderful. It's not too sweet which I love and there's butter in...

Excellent recipe and flavor! We served it wit Ribeye steaks and we actually BBQ'd the steaks and I made the sauce separately - was still wonderful.

Reviewed Peach and Raspberry Crisp

Sep 30, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Great dessert esp. when peaches are in season. I used lemon zest and added a tbsp of Cointreu or Grand Marnier. I only used 6 large peaches and it was plenty! I had a bit too much of the topping leftover though. Also, my topping was not brown at all after 1 hour. Did anyone else have this problem? I just turned oven up to 450F and let it bake another...

Reviewed Real Meatballs and Spaghetti

Sep 30, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Wonderful dish!! Added a small amount of fresh minced garlic to meatball mixture and instead of water, added white wine; but a little less than 1/2 a cup just b/c I didn't want meat mixture to be too wet. Used Panko bread crumbs only; and for sauce used two 15oz cans - 1 tomato sauce and the other diced tom. I added a bit of water to the sauce and...
