This got rave reviews! The important thing here is to be exact with the ingredients (weigh the items that are in ounces). My cake baked for more than 20 minutes, probably more like 30 minutes, and came out perfectly spongy and light. Use a big saucepan for the pastry cream because it expands when it boils. It took a really long time for ribbons to"

These cupcakes were fantastic! I made them for a wedding shower and they were gone before I knew it. They even looked like the picture - and how often does that happen? I would definitely make these again without any variation to the recipe. Two thumbs up!

Reviewed Raspberry-Lemon Easter Cake

Apr 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for a work gathering and it got rave reviews. I didn't add the cookies on the side, instead I put raspberries on top that I had tossed with lemon juice, zest and sugar. The frosting takes time and patience. It came out very rich and creamy. I added a little lemon zest to offset the buttery taste (which wasn't as bad as prior reviews...

For my first Thanksgiving, I wanted to make cranberry sauce from scratch and this was the perfect recipe. Easy and quick, you can put this in a variety of molds to impress your guests. The taste is spectacular! Even my sister liked it and she swears by the fake stuff in the can. Thank you Alton!

Reviewed Easy and Delicious Pumpkin Mousse

Nov 29, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This was very easy and extremely tasty! I couldn't find pumpkin pudding so I used vanilla and pumpkin pie spice. The Spiced Pecans were also a big hit! Next time I'm going to try the mousse with Cool Whip instead of whipping my own cream to decrease the calories.

Reviewed Sourdough Bread Stuffing

This was a huge improvement from the store-bought box that my mom usually makes. I used baby portobello instead of cremini and I will use much less next time. I will probably cut the bread into smaller pieces, too. I impressed my whole family and it was gobbled up, pun intended!

This recipe impressed my whole family. My mom said it was the best she'd ever tasted and my 3 year-old nephew had two pieces! I added a few more blueberries (probably 1/4 cup) and it was extremely tasty!
