"These were great and reminded me of my childhood - I grew up in a very Finnish community. In fact, I pulled out my great grandmothers cookbook and found the recipe in there too (she even had the page marked!). The Finnish cookbook recipe is slightly different (1 cup of sugar, 2 TBSP vanilla, 3 cups of flour and tsp of soda - no egg or baking powder). The brown butter flavor is so delicious. Thanks Food Network for highlighting a country that is often overlooked!
