Reviewed whipped root vegetables

Nov 3, 2014 on

Made this today and added one carrot. Followed the directions exactly and then put in food processor with some butter. It was absolutely declicous. The most difficult was cleaning the celery root which I never had before. Planning on serving this on Thanksgiving.

Reviewed Salmon with Brown Sugar and Mustard Glaze

Dec 2, 2013 on

This salmon was superb....only thing I did differently was baked it in the oven at 375 with some of the glaze brushed over the fish. At the end I brushed more glaze over it. Delicious. Thanks Bobby.

Reviewed Perciatelli with Bolognese

Dec 1, 2013 on

I recently made this Bolognese sauce and followed the receipe and I must say I was slightly disappointed. I had seen it on tv and based on the reviews I expected it to be better. It was too thick with all the meat and not saucy enough. Can't really put my finger on it but it just wasn't that great. I later used the leftover sauce and combined it with...

Reviewed Lemon Basil Chicken Salad

Jul 15, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

With the weather being sooo hot I haven't felt like cooking. Had leftover chicken from a rotessiere chicken and decided on Paula's chicken salad for any easy dinner. I used more celery, walnuts instead of almonds, plain greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Also add green onions and craisins. Used the rest of the recommended ingredients. Served over"

Reviewed Grilled Zucchini Salad with Lemon-Herb Vinaigrette and Shaved Romano and Toasted Pine Nuts

Jul 11, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This dish was delightful and refreshing. Followed the recipe but forgot to put the pine nuts in the salad and I also grilled the zucchini a little too much. Seems like the skin side takes a bit longer but the side requires less grilling time. The lemon-herb vinaigrette was outstanding,

This dish was easy to prepare and very good. Made it for some guests. Only change I made was to use 1/2 and 1/2 instead of cream. It was perfect. "

Reviewed Grilled Shrimp Scampi

Absolutely delicious and easy to make. I used 3 lg garlic cloves and half a stick of butter. Didn't have tarragon on hand. This recipe is a keeper and will make it for company."

Reviewed Spinach Gratin

Dec 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

After reading the reviews on this, I just had to make it as a side dish for our Christmas Eve dinner. I did add one minced garlic clove but other than that, followed the directions. I actually made it the day before, covered it and put in frig.
On Christmas Eve I took it out from the frig about an hour before I put it in the oven along with...

I've been making this for the past few years mainly as an appetizer but I also discovered how good it is mixed with hot pasta or mixed in with scrambled eggs or an omlette.""

Reviewed Lentil Soup

Nov 6, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This was the best lentil soup I've made plus it was easy. I pretty much followed all the directions ....but, I added more carrots and celery and used 1/8 tsp thyme. I did not use any macaroni because I wanted a hearty, crusty bread to dip into it. I cooked it for 1 hr and it turned out "just perfect"...oh, I added cooked ground Italian sausage ab...

Reviewed Roasted Tomato Caprese Salad

Sep 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This was absolutely, positively wonderful....much better than the tomato caprese salad that's served with slice tomatos and mozz. cheese. I served this tonite for company and this dish stole the show....even the presentation was awsome. Served with chibatta bread for dipping into the huices. Thanks Ina.....I didn't change a thing.

Reviewed Oven Roasted Lamb Shanks with Roasted Tomatoes and Toasted Orzo

Feb 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This was really wonderful. I added a little more celery and carrots and used 5 lamb shanks plus I added baby bella mushrooms which I quartered. The next I was ready to go. I started by seasoning the shanks then browning them; removed them and added my veggies; then added wine and reduced and continues to follow recipe but I then put it all in the...
