Reviewed Barbeque Meatloaf
" I like it. But, I chop up a stalk of celery into it and instead of bread crumbs, I always use broken up Wheaties. It greatly improves the flavor. Some times, instead of the barbecue sauce mixture, I just pour catsup over the loaf to a thickness of appx. 3/16" thick. Excellent!!! Mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables in a mild sauce, and c"
Reviewed Cold-Fashioned Potato Salad
"As potato salads go, this one is as close to home as it gets. When ever a recipe like this calls for mayo, I always use half mayo and half Miracle Whip. The combination of the two is fantastic. Even when I make tartar sauce I go half of the two and then use an equal amount of sweet relish, or you can adjust the amount of relish, to your own lik"
Reviewed Pineapple Upside-Down Cornmeal Cake
"This is an excellent Pineapple Upside down recipe. But, I always put the reserved pineapple juice into the batter, "Muchos Gooder!" I also just chop the pecans in half. Won't find a better cake. One more thing. Instead of using a frypan, I use a ten inch stainless steel pie pan"
Reviewed Mini Skillet Meatloaves
"I really liked this. Instead of using breadcrumbs, I crushed up some Wheaties and used it instead. I always use Wheaties, the flavor makes such a pleasant difference. I also doubled the sauce. I added 1 celery stock, minced and saut'ed it and the onion, which enriches their flavor so much. Very good!!!""
About Me
I am 66 years old. I am a loner, and for the majority of my life I have taught myself to do everything that I needed in my everyday world. Like they say, jack of all trades, but master of none. I am pretty good at cooking. But, I love great tasting food, and am quite picky and seeing that variety is the spice of life, I am constantly on the lookout for something new and,or, better. I have been watching the cookery on Food Network and it has become one of my favorites when I am searching for a new recipe.
