About Me
I love to cook and bake. I groew up in South and learned to cook from my mother, grandmother and various family friends. Thanksgiving was always the biggest holiday for cooking, eathing and footballl at my house, as a result, it has always been my favorite to cook also. Over the years, I have strived to imporve my dishes and when Food Network came on the air, I could not get enough.
I moved to the West many years ago and have learned secrets of Southwestern and Mexican cooking and seasoning. I am experimenting with Indian and Orential spices today.
I LOVE Paula Dean as she reminds me so much of my mother, from the way that she speaks to the way that she cooks. My mother was a true Southern lady in the same way that Paula is...I would love to meet and spend some time with her. Other favorites include Alton Brown, Tyler Florence, Gida and Anne Burrell
Favorite Foods
I love to bake! I also love to make stews, soups, salad dressings. I make a good lasagne with my own tomato sauce. I expeiment with adding different spices and never completely follow a receipt as it is written, I like to personalize it.
