My family loved it. I think they would prefer this to the thanksgiving dinner it came from. I doubled the vegetables (as someone else suggested) and only used 1 cup flour/oil. The thickness was just right.

After reading the other reviews I made the recipe but added a tablespoon or two of chopped chipotle peppers to the sauce. I also mixed the sauce with the meat to make it easier to serve. My family really liked it.

It was a lot of work but my family really liked it. My child who hates all vegetables was eating pickled onion! The only substitution I made was chipotle peppers for the dried because it was what I had on hand."
