I nuke it for a few minutes before I put it into the oven. I like broccoli chrisp but not undercooked. Add some fresh garlic also and maybe a little red pepper. What can I say . . . love spice!

after reading the reviews, I think a nice piece of lean chuck roast would have worked much better. Try it the next time. I had a piece of check roast tonight (didn't us this recipe, just made post roast in the slow cooker) and it cam out wonderful. I am going to make this using a chuck roast and will let you know how it turned out."
