I cut this recipe in half; (uh-oh, a half bottle of beer, what to do?) served with the Creamy cheesy grits, and it was still plenty for my 3 big guys and myself PLUS lunch for my hubby the next day!

I have never cooked with turnips or parsnips before; who knew they were so tasty? Next time I will make the full recipe and freeze...
