Reviewed Brisket with Carrots and Onions

"Great recipe.... I made it ahead of time as we were out with guests and then coming home for dinner so made this up the day beforehand and then re-heated for dinner. Was delicious and the recipe feeds a lot of people. Def. a keeper for my recipe file."

Reviewed Crispy Sliced Roasted Potatoes

"I do them like this all the time for a quick side dish for supper. Don't even bother to slice them I keep them whole if potato is small or half the potatoes. I often add in wedges of onion sliced through the root to keep them together and sliced zucchini and squash. I let them get crisp and brown all together, and voila potatoes and veggies done "

Reviewed Blue Cheese and Walnut Crackers

"Ok I did this for a "wine and beer" Meet & Greet - gone in 60 seconds. Everyone loved 'em. Only change was that I did use Stilton and only used 1/2 tsp of salt and it was great. Flavors nicely balanced. Never use as much salt as they say as blue cheese has salt in it anyway. Have taken these to a lot of pot lucks and they always go down well. Love Ina's recipes... they are great and use them a lot.

Reviewed Caramel Apple Cake

"Made this cake this past weeekend and was very disappointed. First off like the previous reviewer the batter was very thick and heavy. Virtually unspreadable and worse did not cover all the cake pan or apple. Consequently it came out as a very "holey" cake, not at all as in the picture. I double checked the recipe and yes I added all the liquid ingredients as stated. I would like to know teh FN kitchens take on this problem as I am not the only to have it. Orange flavor no problem - love citrus anything in our house. Spices great; I used Penzey's baking spice for this. So, the taste was great and I would love to make this again but please FN we gotta get this batter problem solved. THANKS

HI There:  I love cooking and use a lot of recipes online especially from Food Network.  My favorite shows are "Barefoot Contessa", any Giada De Laurentis show.  I have lots of cook books and I love all the seasonal recipes available.  I would love to see the "Cooking Channel" so when are we going to get it on cable in my area?
