My Activity

Reviewed Greek Potatoes with Lemon Vinaigrette

"SO flippin' good! The only thing I changed was I added a little fresh thyme and I cut the potatoes with a mandolin so they'd cook faster. I even used the same sauce to season the sockeye I cooked with it and it was all fantastic. "

Reviewed Cinnamon Rolls

"These rolls were very doughy and I had to cook them almost twice as long. Also makes a whole lot more than 12. The icing was horrible. Very funny texture and synthetic tasting.

Reviewed Ooey-Gooey Stuffed Cupcakes

"I LOVE these cupcakes. I don't even make the ganache. I think the are so rich and moist just on their own. They are extremely delicate so they're not exactly your picture worthy cupcakes but they taste incredible. Always a hit!

Reviewed Roasted Chicken Breasts with Orange, Cardamom and Turmeric

"I have to admit I used a mystery seasoning with this one. We picked up a bunch of different Indian seasonings when we were in Fiji (where surprisingly Indian people are prevalent) but they weren't labeled. The spices were $1 a pack so who cared! So I threw what I thought was garam masala in the dish and I'm thinking that's not what it was. Turned out to be a bit too hot. But the underlying flavor was great. I adore Aarti so I will definitely give this one a second shot with the correct masala.

Reviewed Saffron, Zucchini and Herb Couscous

"I thought this was going to be amazing and I cook couscous a lot. The proportions were just off. There wasn't enough broth and I had to heat up extra broth at the last minute and then the chicken flavor was just overpowering. I had a friend bring me saffron all the way from India and I feel like I just killed it with chicken flavor. However, I can tell that this would have been a much better dish if the measurements were different. I'll try it again with my normal cous cous measurements and I think we'll have something good.
