"Made this yesterday. Total old school classic! A small diced tomato and shredded leftover chicken improved matters. Nice and wholesome salad for lunch or light dinner."
Reviewed Vanilla and Orange Pastry Cream
"True pastry creaqm doesn't use cornstarch for thickening, but this was interesting. Did the recipe exactly as described and found the flavor a bit weak, but acceptable. This is a foolproof way to do easy pastry cream for everyday use but I would do the traditional method (no cornstarch) for special occasion treats."
