I made it with white rice because thats all I had on hand. I tasted it when it was still warm and I didn't like it. Once it was room temp it was AMAZING! The tomatoes really made this dish. I will definitely serve this as a summer side on a regular basis. :)"

Thank you Paula Deen!! This recipe was easy and delicious. I had to change 2 things due to the lack of necessary ingredients in my house. I didn't have peanut oil, so I subbed vegetable oil. This was bowl-licking good! I have tried other recipes that just weren't saucy enough. This was plenty saucy. Actually I had sauce left over. I just put the pasta back into the pot I cooked it in and then added the sauce on top of it. If I hadn't done that, it would have been drowning in it.
