My Activity

Reviewed The Ultimate Pork Crown Roast

"Wow! I didn't make the gravy, but the pork and stuffing were outstanding. Make sure that you get a roast with at least 12 ribs. I could only get 10, so I didn't have as much room to stuff the cavity. Turned out great, anyway, though."

Reviewed Baked Mashed Potatoes, with Pancetta, Parmesan Cheese, and Breadcrumbs

"I made this for a group and three of the eight people said they were the best mashed potatoes they had ever had. I substitued smoked gouda for the mozzarella to give it even more zip. Fantastic!

Reviewed Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Pomegranates and Vanilla-Pecan Butter

"Even people who don't like brussel sprouts will like this. Pomegranate molasses is available at most grocery stores (ask where it is - my store had it next to the syrup, where I never would have looked.) I probably had too much vanilla pecan butter, but it was a very nice addition to the dish.

Reviewed Pumpkin Bread Pudding with Spicy Caramel Apple Sauce and Vanilla Bean Creme Anglaise

"Wow! This might be the best dessert I have ever had. Definitely in the top three. It's a TON of work - you basically have to make four separate recipes and combine them - but it is absolutely worth the time.

One recommendation - make extra creme anglaise. We still have about a third of the bread pudding left, and the creme anglaise is almost gone. We might have been a bit liberal with the serving, but it's REALLY good, so we didn't want to skimp on it.

Reviewed Cornbread Dressing with Pancetta, Apples, and Mushrooms

"Great recipe! My wife isn't a mushroom fan, so I substituted leeks for the mushrooms and it was still excellent.
