Reviewed white bean tuna salad

8 days ago on FoodNetwork.com

This tuna salad is one of my favorite lunches ! I leave out the capers and the arugula
( since I'm not a big fan of arugula). I either eat this salad as is with a few crackers or a pita on the side or eat it over baby spinach/spring mix.

It's very portable too,, and everyone that has seen me eat this tuna salad comments...

Reviewed pecan crusted cod fish

Apr 3, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I thought the pecan crusted cod was absolutely delicious ! So I give the dish 5 stars for the fish alone.

I roasted the pecans in the oven at 400 degrees for 8 minutes and they were perfect. I agree with another post that said the fish did not need the sauce. I only put about a tablespoon of sauce underneath the fish. I honestly...

PERFECT !!

I think heating the whipping cream and then adding the chocolate directly in the pan as opposed to using a double boiler makes a much better fondue. Plus it took much less time to melt.

I added a teaspoon of peanut butter, since my family loves peanut butter. And I did omit the liqueur.

SIMPLY AMAZING !! A great way to use up left over mashed potatoes .

this reply is very late since it is 3 years later, lol, but I was looking for a good fondue recipe and stumbled upon these reviews.. thought I'd help .
.... I just omit the alcohol and make the recipe as is. That's what I do and it comes out just fine... hope this helps. :)

Reviewed roman-style chicken

Mar 13, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This chicken recipe is DELICIOUS !! SO full of flavor . It was so simple to make but tasted like it took all day ! I used boneless skinless chicken breast and omitted the prosciutto, since we don't care for it. Also omitted the capers and thyme. I served this chicken over butter rice which I seasoned with salt, pepper and oregano.

Reviewed gina's pear and apple cobbler

Mar 2, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

LOVED the filling in this cobbler.. however; I made a big change. I used the Neeley's filling ( omitting the pears ) but I used Giada's recipe for her apple crostada for the crust instead of the Neely's topping. Giada's apple filling in her recipe was very bland. So combining both recipes took this dessert to a whole other level, and made it taste...

True,..Maybe FN could make a way that we can ask other fellow cooks questions on the recipe before making the recipe ,this way we do not have to put a rating until we've actually made the recipe.. something for FN to consider. :)

Reviewed chicken and rice casserole

Mar 1, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Great casserole ! I would've liked it as it was written, but I had to modify it quite a bit to satisfy my families tastes. :)

I love Ina's recipes that is why I tried these cupcakes after seeing her make them on her show. I was a little disappointed in the chocolate cupcakes. However;...

Reviewed honey vanilla pound cake

Delicious moist pound cake ! I baked it in a 8 inch pan and it was the perfect size. Only problem I had was the edges browned a little too much, even though I put a tent of foil on top the last several minutes in the oven. I think next time I will try lowering the oven to 325 and see if that helps.. other than that this recipe is a keeper !
