My Activity

Reviewed Rosemary-Mustard Pork With Peaches

"Easy and yummy! In reference to desrt1lady's question to as a fruit substitute for the peaches, apples are always good with pork and abundant in the winter. Just adjust the cooking time to ensure the apples are not getting too soft...Unless, of course, apple *sauce* is your goal. :-)"

Reviewed Espresso Caramel Bars

"These bars are wonderful! Well worth making!

In response to the question regarding the difference between caramel and butterscotch sauce...caramel sauce is made with heavy cream and may be made with either brown or white sugar; whereas, butterscotch sauce generally does not include cream and usually includes corn syrup.

About Me

Born in CT but lived most of my life in South FL until relocating to NE Ohio 5 years ago.  Love anything related to food, wine, food and wine!  Love to cook, entertain, eat!  I am a *bit* of a 'healthnic' however.  Not that I'm totally opposed to it, but I rarely eat red meat or pork...mostly fish and some chicken.  I eat lots of fruits and veggies.  Adore good cheese.  My downfall is carbs, particularly hearty whole-grain breads. I do believe it's possible to maintain a healthy weight, though, so long as one works out adequately and eats all things in moderation.
