“Surprisingly, they aren't as sweet as I thought they would be. I think it might also have to do with using whole wheat flour, so the bit of bitterness of the flour comes through. I'll try them again with plain flour and see how they do then.
I give these cookies an extra star for not puddling or spreading badly while baking. ...”

“This is a really good meal! I resisted the temptation to add more seasonings and I'm actually glad I did. The flavors are very clean and blend together well. The kale is sweet and the freshness of the cilantro is nice. I used the entire chile, seeds and all, and it's not too hot. Will definitely make it again.”

“Loved the flavors and didn't miss the cream at all. Cooking and prep time was accurate.
I didn't think the squash would be cooked in just 5 minutes, so I scooted it to the back of the pan while I added the other ingredients. It turned out to be a good move.
This recipe made a lot, so I have leftovers, :)”

“The smell of these cookies is wonderful! They are very easy to make and are so lovely looking when they come out of the oven. Super quick to whip up for Christmas Day treats.
Here are my substitutions -
Having read some of the reviews on here I backed the cloves off to 1/2 tsp. I added a few grates of fresh...”

“I didn't have any almonds so I skipped this step. I also had committed the cardinal baking sin of not reading the entire recipe before beginning so my orange peels were in the disposal before I realized I needed some zest. I poured in a bit of Grand Marnier instead, and I don't know that I missed much.
It took a lot longer than...”

“As written, the soup was a bit on the bland side. I made a few additions and substitutions. Also, it takes longer to make than 40 minutes, unless you have a speedy method for prepping veggies. It took me just about an hour.
I bought the ricotta before actually reading the assembly process (I know, silly me), and when I realized...”

“I thought this had great flavor, and the hot sauce just gave it a nice background taste without much heat. I was disappointed in the breading, however. The juices of the meat sogged the flakes so the bottoms of the steaks weren't what I am used to in a chicken fried steak."”

“Very easy to make. I had a package of ground turkey which I used instead of the chicken, and I topped the meatballs with basil instead of parsley. The seasonings were just right, and the bacon gave just a slight smokey hint of flavor. Make a quick Swedish meatball sauce, put these guys over noodles, and you have a great meal."”
