Reviewed Spring Pasta Salad

Apr 25, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Man oh man is this good! My husband loved it and so did I. Felt very virtuous when I pushed back from the table. I saved about 2 TB of the dressing and put it on salmon right before putting into a 450 oven. Cooked the fish for 10 minutes then rested it for another 5-10. Absolutely wonderful together. I did use Ronzoni Smart Taste Penne as I have t"

Be sure to buy the store brand of oatmeal instead of the kind most of us associate with anything oats. You will be shocked at the difference in price for plain rolled oats, more than double at my Kroger store.""

Reviewed Sauteed Cabbage

Loved this! I cut the butter in half and added a splash of olive oil then sauteed some caraway seeds with the shredded cabbage until the cabbage was tender-crisp. It was still a bright green and had just a "tooth" to it. It accompanied sauteed pork chops and a sweet-sour-dill green bean side dish. A wonderful filling but low carb side. My picky ...

I used this dough recipe for grilled pizza tonight. I subbed in one half naturally white whole flour and it turned out great. It can be difficult to roll out the dough, this one was no exception but using corn meal on the pizza peel helped it slide off. It made 5 individual pizzas. I grilled each one until crispy on one side, flipped for a few s...

My picky son loved this! Made almost exactly to recipe. I don't buy tomatoes so I used a qt of stewed ones (home canned) and 1 qt of broth and 1 cup of water when I first put it together. I used red lentils so I didn't blend it. Also didn't have the grain of paradise. I used 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika. I only used 1 tsp of the salt as has been...

Reviewed Roasted Rutabaga

Nov 20, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

I have used rutabagas in vegetable soup all my life and I like roasted vegetables. I just never put these two facts together before. These are wonderful: mellow, sweetish and easy to prepare. I served this with a pot roast and no one missed potatoes at all.

mmclassics re:Now my friends and I are actively on the hunt for pomegranate molasses.

One of the chefs in the NFNS show last summer made pomegranate molasses by reducing straight pomegrante juice ( like the POM brand. The judges thought it was very clever of her so it must be an acceptable substitute. I am so glad that you reviewed...

This is my husband's absolute favorite chili. We double it and use ground bison for the meat so it is super low in fat.
