I did make a few changes - didn't have carrots so used 3/4 C frozen corn and 3/4 C frozen lima beans (my kids don't like peas and substituted ground beef and beef broth for the lamb and chicken broth. There is none left! I am not a big fan of Shepherd's pie - but this was really good....loved the thyme and rosemary..."

Used more apples to - close to 5 cups (apprx 6 apples Also added a little nutmeg and apple pie spice. SO GOOD!! I did cook it for almost an hour. Be sure to chop the apples and not slice them. ""

I have been making these cookies using a different recipe for years - and decided to switch to this one - because I love everything Ina does. I am so glad I did!! Followed the reciped exactly and had no trouble....dough does crack - but as it warms up a little, it gets easier to work with.
