"My family, including my 5 year old, loves this recipe. If I bring leftovers to work for lunch, I always have at least one person who asks for the recipe. I make this the way I originally saw the recipe. It called for a small can of diced tomatoes, drained, and a can of tomato paste as well. It's a flexible recipe so I sometimes add extra veggies like red peppers or mushrooms. This is one of my go to recipes as it turns out great with lean ground beef too, if that's all you have on hand.
