Reviewed Fried Green Plantains (Tostones De Platano Verde

"I am Puertorrican and this recipe is all wrong. For the tostones (as in the name of the recipe) you use green plantains(unripe). This recipe is using ripe ones. Now,to make fried green plant. (tostones) you take the plant and cut it in 1 in. rounds, fry it until golden, press it with a tostonera(or the back of a small plate), fry it again, done. Sweet plantains (ripe) can be fried too, but are not called tostones, are called amarillos.
