Reviewed Homemade Sausage Patties

Jun 8, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I don't know if the last step was a great idea, when I added the water to the pan it made my sausages soggy. As for the thyme, I just added less than the recipe called for and substituted the brown sugar for maple syrup(the real kind not Mrs.butters worth. Next time I will just skip the last step and cook them low and slow, with no water."

YUM! These were seriously the best homemade brown recipe I've ever tried! I put them into cup cake tins instead of a pan and baked for a little less time. I will be making these brownies again! ""

This was absolutely delicious! I left out the ham and substituted a carrot for the jicama because I couldn't find it at the grocery store. Carrots are crunchy, so I figured it was a good substitute. I'm defiantly going to adding this to my favorites list! "

I'm sure this is good, except i was surprised that the meat in this recipe was beef, since a Shepard herds sheep, and lamb is the traditional meat for this dish. . . But I'm sure the recipe would be great with both"

This is GREAT! I used New Mexican dioxin Chilies instead of Cayenne and I used more so they'd have a good kick.

cinnamon and molasses was very overpowering and not the smell or taste I was looking for, luckily sugar and double the ketchup saved the day! THIS IS AN OKAY SAUCE BUT YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT WAY LESS CINNAMON AND MOLASSES SERIOUSLY

My pie looks beautiful! I made the presentation different than the recipes photo; I went with a more classic approach. My family will love it tomorrow on thanksgiving! I'M THANKFUL FOR THE FOOD NETWORK!!!

Reviewed Not Your Mama's Green Bean Casserole

This wasn't as good as it smelled. It reminded me of the creamed mushrooms that my grammy used to make, except, she used sour cream instead of half and half and flour, and she used shallots instead of garlic and onions. I think if I were to make this again I'd make my grammy's mushrooms and add the green beans. The sour cream has so much more flavor...

I did everything according to her recipe and I ended up having to turn the heat down and cook for a little longer so the outside wouldn't burn. I even watched her video and let the beef cool off before I made it. Maybe I'm weird, but I don't really like rare meat, and her idea of med rare was still rare... After I cook it a little longer I know it...

Reviewed Shrimp Etouffee

This was really tasty! I used all the salt, I also added a about a teaspoon more of Cajun spices than recommend, and I used a cup chicken broth to thin the soup because I thought the 8 ounces of clam juice wasn't enough, next time I'll just buy 16 ounces of clam juice. I also used less shrimp, it didn't seem to make a difference, and considering how...
