"Good idea in principle but I thought that the dish was a bit stodgy with two layers of pastry with the predominantly potato filling. It definitely needs more bacon and more liquid (I will try and use a thin white sauce (1 Tbs butter heated with 1/2 Tbs flour with 1 cup warm milk say) next time instead of the cream.
