There's no anchovies in the recipe.

Sounds like Jodi is the true "Newbie". Doesn't know the difference between a roux and a gravy.

Evidently you've never made homemade chicken stock!

Reviewed mini skillet meatloaves

Apr 7, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I don't think I've ever made the same meatloaf twice, but my husband, after having this the other night has requested it again.
I followed the recipe right up to the end. There was a lot of grease in the pan, so I just plated the mini loaves, and poured the remaining sauce over them.

You should have tried Ree's recipe. You might have given that a 5.

Reviewed creamy roasted cauliflower

Apr 1, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I've had this recipe for awhile, and finally got around to making it. What was I waiting for? It was delicious. I roasted the cauliflower earlier in the day, then at dinner time just heated it up in the cream sauce while my roast was resting.
Having leftovers today for lunch at work. Thank-you Paula.

Thanks for the info. It's really difficult to follow a recipe with all the extra verbiage added on.
I've been sending e-mails to customer service about the new website, but so far nothing.

Reviewed rigatoni with spicy shrimp

Mar 31, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Made the recipe just the way it was written. It was easy and very tasty. My husband requested it again after the 1st mouthful.
The red pepper flakes add just enough heat, but nothing super hot. If you're not into spicy I would recommend maybe a pinch of red pepper or just omit it, but it sure tasted good.

Very tasty and so easy. Made the meatballs and chopped the veggies the day before so everything was ready to go the next day for a quick and hearty lunch.
I use homemade chicken stock (thank-you Ina), and only a cup of water. So much more flavor than the box, but the box works well if you don't have the real thing.
The one thing...

Reviewed Simple, Perfect Chili

Sep 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

For the 1st time I was very disappointed with one of Ree's recipes. This is very bland. I had to double all the spices, chop up an onion and added a can of Rotel to add some flavor. Ree is always spicing things up adding hot sauce, and chipotles in adobo sauce (ex: spicy pop pulled pork), but when it comes to her chili..nothing. My family doesn't "

Who knew that mashed potatoes could be a great potato salad. Followed the recipe to a tee, just cut it in half because there is only 2 of us. It was wonderful. I will definitely make this again and encourage my friends to try it. Next time I might add a little celery for the crunch factor. Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised."

Thanks for this recipe. I've searched for years for a marinade that would truly penetrate the meat. I have tried other homemade recipes, bottled brands, even injections and nothing seemed to work. This recipe is wonderful. Everytime I do steak this is my go to recipe. It can get expensive when your husband asks for steak every week with T-Bone Tom"

Reviewed Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Mar 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I finally got around to making these cookies, and they were delicious. You really have to mound up the measuring cup with the malt to get that real malty flavor. I could only get 7 cookies on a 1/2 sheet pan. They spread out quite a bit and look a little sad when they come out of the oven, but you don't notice it when you're dunking them in milk!...

I've been meaning to write a review on this BBQ sauce since this summer, but I can see by other reviews that people have tried it and loved it as much as me. I've made this sauce now 3 or 4 times, and put it in squirt bottles that are labeled homemade. I don't think I would ever go back to store bought. This is so easy, made with simple ingredien...
