Reviewed corn, avocado, and tomato salad

Mar 26, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I like this recipe but found it a bit bland so I kicked it up with zest and juice of one whole lime, a little rice vinegar, more cilantro, and a wee more salt. Also prefer a lighter oil as IMO olive oil is a bit heavy for this kind of light salad. Yum! Great flavor combos.

Replied to No-Baste, No-Bother Roasted Turkey

Yup, this was my concern because everyone's oven is different. If your oven cools down quickly (as mine does), you could end up with a turkey that's raw inside and unsafe to eat.

Red onion, minced
Worchestershire sauce
Pepper
Salt optional - remember the Worchestershire sauce contains salt
Liquid...

These are great! To avoid the "too salty" complaints, be sure to use kosher salt instead of table salt, and unsalted butter instead of salted. "

This is a great base recipe! So delicious and very versatile depending on your taste and what you have on hand.

Didn't have enough honey, so added brown sugar; also lemongrass paste, a little cilantro paste, and a wee bit of 5-spice powder. Upped the chili sauce (Sriracha) as we like spicy. Only had thighs - threw them in the...

Reviewed Banana Bread with Pecans

Very good! And if you want this to make two loaves, just whip all four bananas with the sugar at the beginning and continue with the recipe, then bake for about 1 hour. I used my food processor on pulse to quickly combine ingredients and the loaves came out great. "

Delicious! Re the comments about this being dry, that's the only way I've ever had it served at Chinese restaurants. It's not a "saucy" dish although you can add liquid if you prefer.""
