"I wish I hadn't doubled the recipe~ My cakes turned out greasy and congealed; why~?? I substituted the vegetable oil with butter and white flour with whole wheat. Even with the zest of six small lemons, the lemon flavor is hardly there. The flavor could be overlooked if the texture of the cake was more like cake and less like a greasy steamed rice"
