Reviewed Classic Shortbread Cookies in 4 Ingredients with added 1 ingredient Variations

"Bad recipe but great results if you overlook the issue of the 2-1/2" by 5" log being sliced every 1/3" and producing 65 cookies. I got about two dozen cookies out of this, after I just gave up on trying to figure out what those measurements were all about.

My fifth ingredient was Chambord instead of water. Then, before baking, I sprinkled a small amount of applewood-smoked sea salt on each cookie.

The results are fantastic. Sweet, but with a hint of smoky saltiness.
