Replied to pickled jalapenos

The recipe calls for adding the jalapeos to the simmering brine, then just bringing to a boil. I started filling the jars once the brine reached the boil, and the peppers turned out perfect, and not at all mushy.

The 12 hours includes the time the jars are supposed to remain undisturbed while cooling. It's in the "remove and cool" section.

Reviewed mustard roasted salmon

Very simple weeknight dinner. I prefer cooking salmon at a higher temp, though, so I cook at 500 degrees for five minutes, then flip and add the sauce and cook for another 5 minutes. The lower temps tend to dry the fish a bit, but the higher temp gives it a nice "crust" and really brings the flavors out.

I loved this simple and delicious recipe. It's the perfect comfort food. The chicken comes out beautifully tender, with a nice crunch on the coating. And don't skimp on the lemon. The flavors are perfect as is.

Love it! It took a little longer to process in my machine (about 50 minutes) but it was worth it. The only change was that I used dark brown sugar instead of light, which gave it a wonderful "nutty" kind of taste. Absolutely wonderful."

Oh, this one is soooo good! I have a high quality, heavy-duty Bundt pan, and this recipe made for a beautiful, tender cake with a sweet, slightly crunchy outer crust. Absolutely delicious served simply with some fresh glazed fruit, freshly whipped cream and a little sprinkle of coarse sugar. Heaven!"

Perfect, delicious sauce! Make sure to reduce the vodka to get the right flavor and consistency. The flavors are subtle but blend beautifully. I served it over crab ravioli, and it was wonderful."

Perfect! I roasted it exactly as instructed, except I cooked it only to 145 degrees internal temp instead of 155, and the meat was perfect. Keep in mind that meat rises at least 10 degrees once taken out of the oven. The rub is delicious!"

Absolutely fantastic recipe, with a great balance of sweet/sour/tangy. Wasn't sure about the sour cream, but it worked beautifully in this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly, except I had to watch the crust carefully, as the time given would have seriously overbaked it. This one is a keeper!"
