These were yummy! I did them for my boy's bday party and they came out great. I did tweak the sugar a bit as I felt they would be compensated by the frosting and turns out, I was right! Good recipe... "

I had the freshest of ingredients, so that was not an issue. It was disappointing... however, with this being said, I had four layers and everyone raved about how good it was... Flat, but good. So,"

Dough is OK. I've lived in Italy half of my life now and decided to try it out one evening with my family who RAVE about the place. It was WAAAAY over priced. The food was good, but was a bit changed up to appeal to the American palate. Which is a bit of a cheat, since Italian cuisine reigns supreme... Just saying that if I'm willing to pay that k"

This recipe was really good AFTER I played with it a bit. I omitted 1 full cup of sugar and substituted an over ripe banana. They came out very nice and very moist. I also used maybe 1/2 the butter she had listed. I can't understand Paula Dean's obsession with excessiveness. Very good and waaaay less calories than her recipe. :""

Over Christmas I did Jaime's Coconut cake with seven minute frosting(by Paula Dean). The cake was easy to do...but her seven minute frosting was a runny, soupy nightmare! Moving ahead to my little guy's bday party (today), he requested the same thing. So, I thought to try this frosting. It WORKED, and was super easy to do with much less fuss than...

This muffin is VERY good. The whole point of only so little chocolate powder is not to overwhelm the muffin. The chocolate chips compliment the chocolate powder used. I prefer it this way...if you don't, then a recipe such as 'Death by Chocolate' might be for you. These are perfect for an afternoon tea or coffee and wonderful for dunking. My kids "

Very good! However on the first go (and only thus far) I cut the oil down to half and used only 1 Cup of sugar. The texture is perfect and maybe will add just a bit more sugar next time. Plus I added 1/2 cup of ground flax seed. My husband and kids love them! Great recipe will do it again! Thanks!!!

I made this at Christmas for my family. They loved it! However, the apples provide enough sweetness on their own and so I would omit about 1/2 the sugar content the next time around. It's so sweet that you feel the sugar granules between your teeth...not pleasant! On that note...about 1/2 the butter as well. Yummy though!
