Reviewed slow-cooker pulled pork sandwiches

Apr 20, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Just finished this for dinner tonight and it was delicious! The only changes I made were when I put everything in the slow cooker, I also added a can of low sodium chicken stock. This brought to liquid level to cover the pork and I think imparted a bit more flavor than water alone. I also added some pepper flakes, but I don't think I noticed the difference...

Made these tonight and absolutely loved them. I had skim milk on hand, used that instead of whole milk and it was fine. I cut the recipe in half and it made 11 2" meatballs. I also used 93% lean ground turkey instead of dark meat partially because my store doesn't sell that and partially because I was trying to keep them as lean as possible. They...

Made this last night for dinner and overall a great recipe. I didn't add the chicken broth or honey- seemed unnecessary. I think the sauce would have been way too thin if I added it and I didn't really see the point. I didn't add honey either- hoisin is kind of sweet on its own.

I added some red pepper flakes to kick up the heat...

I made these yesterday and think they're pretty good. I will say they are much more like a dessert than anything else. The oat mixture is like a crumble you would put on top of apples or peaches. It's delicious, but very sweet and full of sugar. I used chopped almonds instead of walnuts because I don't like walnuts and replaced dried apricots with"

Pretty good overall. Definitely check for salt- I had to add more than the little bit she says to add to the cheese mixture. I forgot to save the cooking liquid from the pasta and remembered just as I dumped it into the colander to drain- I was left with about 2 TB which definitely wasn't enough. If I had the extra liquid the sauce would have been"

Good soup overall, but definitely made some tweaks. I didn't use nearly the same amount of butter as the recipe calls for. I sauteed my aromatics in about 2 tablespoons of butter plus 1 1/2 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil. It was plenty. Soup if VERY thick. I cut the recipe in half since I was only making it for myself and I ended up adding and extra"

I was really underwhelmed by this dish. I saw her make it on tv and thought it looked like a great way to eat a ton of veggies and still be satisfied. I love all the veggies in this dish, but just felt it was pretty bland. I will say that I did use store-bought bread crumbs in stead of making the toast like she suggests and I think it would have b"
