"Very yummy! We enjoyed this for Christmas breakfast and absolutely loved it!! I bought panettone bread from Le Boulanger and it was so good as french toast. We topped it with fresh raspberries and blueberries and sprinkled powder sugar on it per the recipe. The syrup was delicious and the cinnamon smelled wonderful as I was cooking. Will definitely make this again next Christmas :)

"Wonderful flavor! Next time I will use less than 2 lbs potatoes as it was too much for my pan. My potatoes stuck to the pan so it did not come out as pretty as Giada's pancake. If anyone has any suggestions about preventing this, please share :) This was a very tasty recipe. . .loved the parmesan and basil in it!
