My Activity

Reviewed Bratwurst Bake

"I thawed brats but had no buns & I didn't want to do peppers & onions, and my search turned up this recipe. I forgot the garlic and to tent the foil. I also baked at 400 for 45 minutes instead, tenting afterward for 10 minutes or so. The outside was interesting & almost crunchy, the inside still very juicy. I think we may do brats this way from now..."

"Good, but mine was missing a bit of oomph. I'll try it again.""

Reviewed Red Hot's Hot Apple Cider

"My mom made this years ago, and I've been meaning to make it again, but red hots are hard to find around here unless it's February. But now that I have the ratio--2 qt juice : 1/2 c red hots! yay!--I'll be making it this Valentine's Day for my hubby."

About Me

I grew up in Ohio. I've been a student, a teacher, and a student again. And now I've moved to British Columbia because I fell in love with a writer, who I met online because he was looking for an editor--or at least an honest opinion. I do most of the cooking, because he just doesn't understand most of the basics.

Favorite Foods

pasta, thick/creamy soups, chocolate
