I love this recipe but today I had alot of fajhita envelopes so I threw one in. I served it over toast and mexican cheese. Guess you could add just about anything. Still love it original.

WE LOVED this soup! My husband is like a potato soup addict now. It freezes well in bags and there is no mealy potato texture when you thaw and reheat it. Lay cooled soup into bags then lay flat or folded then freeze. This is the only potato soup I will make now.

Yes fresh is best! I love another celebs soup recipe but this is well just over the top. Made it loved it enough. I hope all enjoy! Watch out for the high sodium content of the juice. Adding the sugar is key but I used splenda and that was two packets. If you are not sensitive do it all her way !

Yes! But I think some reviewers are not used to this. I grew up on white potatoes with diced celery and chopped diced green pimento olives mayo S&P. It is great but I loved this recipe alot from Trisha! A nice change. Now I will make the white and this one to give everyone a new choice.

Very Tasty! I also liked a few reviews using potatoes instead of bread. I used a super simpleidea of my own. HUNGRY JACK diner style hashbrowns in a box! No nuking grating or chopping required. This dish was GREAT!!!!!!! I had to turn down the oven to 350 as it was cooking too fast and burning a bit. I let it rest with foil on for twenty minutes and it was so moist and still very crisp. I did add an onion an some other spices but basically was true to the recipe. Very tasty!

Oh so yummy! I used one&one half sticks butter and after crushed pretzels to equal about two cups. Also used parchment paper to line dish.
Hope this is helpful for all those questions about measurments. I think you can't ruin this dish even if you are a bitt off. Love this and must stop eating them and give some away!!!!!!!!!

I tried it and it was very good!!!!!!!!!!!! I used very little sauce and a splash of dry white wine. I may try this on chicken. This is alot healthier than a can of soup sauce or packet of sodium laden ingredients. Adjust to taste.
